Harry Wetzel, IV, Enologist and a partner at Alexander Valley Vineyards, has spent a lifetime working in and studying the wine business. Son of winery pioneers, Hank and Linda Wetzel, Harry grew up playing amongst the grapevines on the Wetzel family estate in the heart of Alexander Valley.

As a child, Harry and his siblings frolicked on the 150 acres of vineyards and swam in the Russian River which abuts his family's holdings. As a young boy, Harry spent summers working on his neighbor's (Tom Gore, Alexander Valley Vineyards grower) vineyards, learning how to tend the vines and helping with harvest.

He followed his parent's footsteps and attended UC Davis, graduating with a degree in Viticulture and Enology. Harry worked internships in Chile and at a custom crush facility in Southern Napa Valley.

After graduation he spent time at the Wine Lab in Napa doing lab analysis and consultations for small wineries before returning home to Alexander Valley Vineyards.
