Patty J. Bogle, owner and winery manager of Bogle Winery, grew up in a suburb of Portland, Oregon and had no idea she would one day be running a renowned winery in California.

After meeting Chris Bogle in college, Patty married into the farming family and helped plant some of the very first vineyards in the early 1970s. While raising four children--the sixth generation of farming Bogles--Patty worked in the office and with grafting projects.

She assumed supervision of winery operations in 1989 and has since directed the growth and expansion of the winery into a well-respected, industry-renowned brand. Patty continues to make the day-to-day decisions that direct Bogle Winery. Being involved in each aspect of the business has contributed to the winery's successes over the last decade and a half.

Her work has been recognized by the Sacramento Business Journal and in the State of California Legislature with a Woman of the Year honor in 2000.
