Marcy is the owner of Beyond Basil Catering and Art Beyond The Palette Café, a restaurant located in the Yellowstone Art Museum in downtown Billings.

Marcy is a graduate of nursing school and has been working as a registered nurse since 1980. Culinary wise, Marcy is a graduate of life. Her passion for food has been fostered by the many wonderful, talented chefs Montana has in its kitchens. Her philosophy is to keep your eyes watching, your ears listening and your mouth watering, as there is much to learn from those around us; we are all students, we are all teachers.

Marcy and her husband Dan opened Beyond Basil Catering on a dare in 1994. They specialize in custom menus and superb service. Marcy enjoys creating dishes using new items, unique foods and fresh herbs and spices and all within the budget of the customer. Their restaurant, Art Beyond The Paletté, opened its doors in November of 2005 with a menu that provides customers with an eclectic choice of lunch entrees served in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Foods are superbly presented and delicious and in summer can be enjoyed al fresco in the museum courtyard.
