Enjoy a spectacular evening created to tempt your taste buds! Preparing this special meal will be James Murray, Corporate Executive Chef at Johnsonville Sausage in Cambridge, Wisconsin in collaboration with Executive Chef David Maplethorpe of The Rex . Chef Jim has many years of exceptional culinary experience - including serving as executive chef at the prestigious Des Moines Golf & Country Club and showcasing his culinary knowledge in Napa Valley at Tra Vigne, Mustard's Grill, John Ash & Co., to name a few.
Now in Wisconsin, Jim will combine his superb culinary talents with the flavors of the Heartland - add to that David Maplethorpe's exquisite culinary magic and you will feast on dinner like no other you have experienced. To take the dinner "over the top" you will indulge in devine dessert creations by Dimitri Ponomarchuk, Corporate Executive Chef at Continental Mills in Seattle, Washington. "Let the Battle Begin!" In cooperation with The Food Network, the legend of the Kitchen Stadium and the famed "secret ingredient" will come to life at the Wine & Food Festival! This year's "secret ingredient" will be selected from the bounty of Montana's sustainably grown agricultural products. This progressive tasting will take you on a fantastic journey tracing the development of Schramsberg's top-of-the-line brut bottling: J. Schram. Second Generation Vintner and Winemaker Hugh Davies will conduct the seminar, starting with the young 2009 vintage base wine and stepping back through multiple vintages (2008, 2005, 2001, 1996) of this extraordinary style as it evolves into the complex, creamy and elegant sparkler that has made Schramsberg the ultimate choice of brides, presidents, and wine aficionados across the country for 45 years. The progressive tasting will be followed by a sparkling bottle sabering demonstration and a tasting of five other Schramsberg offerings, each matched with a specially paired food.
